The George & Carol Wallace Memorial Award
A lasting tribute to two dedicated volunteers whose service helped shape the Winona Peach Festival.
Honouring a Legacy of Service
The Best Crew Award has been presented annually to a member organization of the Winona Peach Festival since 2001.
Originally established as the Carol A. Wallace Memorial Award, the name was amended in 2025 to the George & Carol Wallace Memorial Award following George’s passing.
George and Carol were highly active and dedicated volunteers who contributed many years of service to the Festival. George was an incorporating member of the Winona Peach Festival and also served as a Past President. Their daughter, Karen, proudly continues the family tradition by volunteering at the Festival.
What Makes a Best Crew?
The selection committee recognizes a crew that actively engages with customers, patrons and fellow volunteers while demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork and genuine enjoyment of the Festival experience.

The George & Carol Wallace Memorial Award for Best Crew 2025 was presented at the Festival’s General Membership meeting on February 19, 2026.
